There’s an excellent post over at Evolution News and Views today. It addresses the mistaken claim that Dr. Michael Behe’s argument concerning the irreducible complexity of the bacterial flagellum has been refuted. This is a common (and completely erroneous) belief held by many Neo-Darwinists. They need to better examine the literature (and perhaps brush up on their elementary logic).
You can read the post here.
Aside: I have had the enormous pleasure of meeting and chatting with Dr. Behe in person. He is a brilliant man with a delightful personality. Witnessing his intellectual “smack-down” of a skeptical audience member after giving a talk on irreducible complexity was a rare treat I will never forget.
